The Sweden’s County Meals project has generated creative new interpretations of Swedish regional food traditions. Our aim is to awaken the interest of new generations in the unique ingredients, produce and food culture of Sweden’s historic counties, stimulating rural development and gastro-tourism in Sweden.
Here we present innovative menus from all of Sweden’s counties plus the capital Stockholm – a total of 26 new, unique meals drawing on local traditions and local ingredients.
People’s Houses & Parks, Gastronomiska Akademien, Måltidsakademien and the Royal Swedish Agricultural Academy jointly launched the Sweden’s County Meals project, which has engaged chefs, bakers, food producers, designers, artisans and beverage developers nationwide.
